Day 12: June 24 Anniversary in Cascais

June 24 -  Good morning and Happy Anniversary Sunshine.  I love you.  Seems like yesterday...

June 24, 1995

Today was a poolside, Anniversary, Saturday in Cascais.  Very, very relaxing.  So relaxing that I decided to try some things that I don't typically do.  First, I took a painting class and painted a picture of our hotel.

Pretty, pretty good.

Next, I took a tile decorating class, where you picked a local street and decorated tiles.  I decided to pick the street where Dave made reservations for dinner.  Just as an artistic memory.  The street is Afonso Sanches.  Named after his brother "Dirty".

After pottery class, I decided to go cliff diving.  That was really fun.
This was my classmate Felipe.  I am right after him

The beach here gets packed on Saturdays.  This is right outside our hotel.  If you look closely, you can see me jet skiing in the distance.  It was super fun.

After jet skiing, Dave and I were lucky enough to join a Palm Tree sight seeing tour.  How lucky am I that they offered this through our hotel.

And just before happy hour, I was able to squeeze in a modern art class.  It was combination of poetry and visual art.  Mine was titled, "A view from the can."

At happy hour, we got a surprise gift and anniversary message from our kids.  So thoughtful of them.  You make your parents proud.
Thank you Julia and Reid

Lot's of mixed drinks today and strong feelings

It's that time of the day, for Dave's Dinner Reservations.  Where's WalDave?

He actually is in this picture

Dave made our Anniversary dinner reservation at Clandestina.  Another amazing recommendation from Greg and Toni Simon.
Simon's Say Clandestina

Before we sat down, Dave ordered their famous cocktail.  Can you guess?

I think it's on the Drink List

Yep.  A Jamie Sour

I mean 4 Jamie Sours.
Never met a bartender he didn't like

In all honesty, Sunshine and Steph didn't love the Jamie's.  But they faked it.
Here Dave.  Drink mine.

Clandestina was great.  May have been our best meal yet.  Or top 2.

It was so good, so fun, and so memorable that we decided to take the memory home.
