ChatGPT: Amsterdam began as a small fishing village on the banks of the River Amstel in the 12th century. It grew rapidly in the 15th and 16th centuries as a trading and maritime hub, and reached its golden age in the 17th century, when it became one of the wealthiest and most powerful cities in the world. Amsterdam was also a centre of culture, art, science and religious tolerance, attracting many immigrants and refugees from other countries. Amsterdam was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II, and suffered from famine and persecution, especially of its Jewish population. After the war, the city rebuilt itself and became a modern and cosmopolitan metropolis, known for its diversity, creativity and innovation.
JeffGPT: Amsterdam is romantic. I just really like it. People are friendly. Weather is great and everyone is outside riding bikes or walking around. The waterways are amazing. Also, very clean. Nothing not to like. Fuck Hitler.
We didn't sleep great last night. Whayyyy Jeff has jet lag. Whaayyyyyyy. I finished Anne's Diary from 4am to 6am. We are going to the museum after breakfast so I wanted to better respect my visit by finishing her diary. I have a lot of random thoughts.
Random Learning #1: As a parent, it saddened me that Anne did not have a real relationship with her Mom or Dad. She wasn't Logan Roy'd by them, but it was no Brady Bunch either. Her Dad admitted after reading Anne's diary, that he was very surprised how much he didn't know about his daughter., even though he thought he had a nice relationship with her. Note to self. Check in on the kids to make sure things are ok and if they need an ear or something.
You were not supposed to take pictures in the House. This is the bookcase that blocked their entry door to disguise any potential hideaway.
And behind Bookcase #1 is....

| a very small entry |
Random Learning #2: Hope trumps fear. Hope moves you forward. Fear holds you back.

After we finished the tour we decided to continue our day in traditional Amsterdam style. Space cake anyone?
I know we are cool. Or basic. Or adventurous. "I don't feel it, do you? Should we take some more? Maybe it's just not working. In the meantime, let's go for grilled cheese sandwiches."
