Day 9: June 21 Lisbon Last Day

 June 21 - Today Steph and Wendy organized a free day to do whatever we want in Lisbon.

Hmmmmm….  2 of us went shopping, and 2 of us went golfing. Guess...

We Played golf at the Quinta Do Peru golf course on the other side of the fake Golden Gate Bridge. It was about a 40 minute drive from our hotel.   Most people that work in Lisbon live on the other side of the fake bridge.   Most guys from LA that golf in Lisbon, golf on the other side of the fake bridge. The drive up was nice. Check in nice. Driving range nice. Sign on the first tee box - not nice. 

Dave and I both liked the course a lot. Very well maintained. I especially loved the trees on every hole.

Looks like Sunshine and Steph went to some type of art district.  Very cool.

This area of Lisbon is called LXFactory.  It means LXFactory in Portuguese. Very artistic.  Cool vibe.

After golf we all met for lunch at the Mex Factory.  It was recommended by Maria (thanks Maria). I had the BBQ pork burrito.  It was a 9 out of 10.  


After a huge, filling mexican lunch, why not go for an afternoon dessert.  So far, our desserts have been a berp, berp. So.......


This is the place for chocolate cake and coffee.  If you like that kind of thang....

Tonight, we got a recommendation from our friends Hank and Rachel to go have dinner and see a Fado show.  We had no idea what a Fado show is.

A very home cooked meal with some Fado music.  A perfect way to end our time in Lisboa.

Rui told us about the best coffee in Lisboa is from Nicola.  And so far all the coffee has been amazing.  If anyone wants to talk about Lisboa and sip Nicola, ring me.

Day 12: June 24 Anniversary in Cascais

 June 24 -  Good morning and Happy Anniversary Sunshine.  I love you.  Seems like yesterday... June 24, 1995 Today was a poolside, Anniversary, Saturday in Cascais.  Very, very relaxing.  So relaxing that I decided to try some things that I don't typically do.  First, I took a painting class and painted a picture of our hotel. Pretty, pretty good. Next, I took a tile decorating class, where you picked a local street and decorated tiles.  I decided to pick the street where Dave made reservations for dinner.  Just as an artistic memory.  The street is Afonso Sanches.  Named after his brother "Dirty". Day 13: Bye Bye Portugal

 June 25th -  Bye bye Portugal. We are on our way home.  Dave and I played golf in the am and now heading to the Lisbon airport hotel before we all get on an early flight.   Thank you Sunshine for planning such a great trip.  And Dave and Steph for being such amazing travel buddies.  We had the best time with both of you.   Also, thank you Kim Diaz and Saka for also helping plan the trip.  And to our friends, Tim, Maria, and Luis.  It was great to see you. So I was thinking about what to watch on the plane ride home and I thought some pics from the trip would give me some inspiration...
